Our History

In the summer of 2006, a group of believer's separated from a local congregation because of a doctrinal issue.  Even though the split was not coordinated or planned, God seemed to have His hand in the midst of it all.  After not meeting with fellow believers for a couple of weeks, a call came from others that had left,  asking that we meet together again.  Our first meeting was in the basement of a local family.  Several families attended and it was decided that we should meet again next week.  Our new meeting spot was to be 606 East Park, Rich Hill, MO.  This same residence has been our church home ever since.  While it may not be beautifully arranged or appealing to the eye, it has served us very well over the years.  We are very blessed to have a place that we all can join together and worship Christ.
Over the years, slight changes have been made in our views and approaches to ministry.  We began with the idea of having a traditional church; fitting the mold we had all come from. (children's church, youth group, etc)  As time passed, we questioned our approach and sought God for guidance.  A new building idea was proposed and debt was considered, but God's Providential protection saved us from sure demise.  We decided that debt was not an option, and that we would move sites once God had opened that door.  We also gradually moved away from children's church and youth group, deciding to focus more on the unity and integration of the family.  Since our inception, we have also strongly encouraged and expected men to step up and be apart of the sharing of God's Word.  We have seen some tremendous growth because of this.  We also have adopted the expectation that 100% of the work should be done by 100% of the people.  We desire for every individual to understand that they are needed and necessary for our body to operate correctly.  Every individual in the church does a servants job with a servants pay.  Meaning, no one receives a check or an allowance for the work that God has given them to do.
Currently, our fellowship is blessed with many wonderful, God-fearing people.  Seeking Christ daily and striving to shine our light in this dark world is our goal.  We are not a perfect, nor pure church, but we serve a Master who is both.  We would love to fellowship with you some Sunday morning, and share some of the love, mercy and compassion that our Savior has shared with us.
